ESOL - English for speakers of other languages
Visits with your ESOL group
We welcome ESOL groups at all levels at Salford Museum and Art Gallery and are very keen for tutors and students to get involved and find out about life in Salford in the past.
As part of your visit we can arrange one or more of these museum-led sessions. Visits cost £3.50 per person.
Lark Hill Place
Go back into the past and visit Lark Hill Place; a typical northern street during Victorian times, with shops and look at how people used to live. Dress up and find out about everyday life!
Learn about the Victorian age in Salford and find out about our paintings in our Victorian Gallery with the help of a guide. Practice your art and description skills and learn more about life in the past.
Together these sessions last one and a half hours and are appropriate for learners at all levels.
We also welcome self-guided groups. Please let us know you are coming by telephoning 0161 778 0821.
We also have a range of preparation materials you may want to use with your learners before a visit. These are available to download via our related downloads section at the top of this page.
