The Hall's gardens provide the perfect setting for a unique theatre experience, with the chance to purchase a picnic to enjoy during the play.

Gates open an hour before each event. Please feel free to bring your own chair(s) and refreshments. Alternatively, why not pre-order a picnic from us for just £8.95 (includes Fentimans traditional drink, salad pots, vegetarian tartlets, filled roll (v), gourmet crisps and a delicious slice of cake) in advance for collection on the night.

Pride and Prejudice - 18 July 2018

The fabulous Heartbreak Productions make their first visit to the stunning gardens of Ordsall Hall to perform Jane Austen's classic 'Pride and Prejudice.'

Join Heartbreak, the Bennet sisters, and a host of charming young bachelors (yes, Mr Darcy will be there. No really, yes, that Mr Darcy) for an evening of comedy, romance and more than one come-uppance as we learn how to behave, ahem, properly.

Champagne and cucumber sandwiches are permitted at this outdoor adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, but do ensure you know how to properly use a napkin, remember to chew with your mouths closed, and please try not to fall in love with Mr Darcy, as we believe he is very soon to be engaged. Twelfth Night - Thursday 26 July 2018

The world's first cycling theatre company, The HandleBards return to Ordsall Hall this summer. The company pedal from venue to venue with all the set, props and costume necessary to perform environmentally sustainable Shakespeare across the globe. 

Join the all-male troupe for a bicycle-powered production of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' like none other. In usual HandleBards style, expect riotous amounts of energy, a fair old whack of chaos, and a great deal of laughter.

And what's the play about? Well - Duke Orsino is in love with Lady Olivia, but she won't have anything to do with suitors. Viola is shipwrecked and believes her twin brother Sebastian to be dead. Meanwhile, a bunch of Olivia's servants plot to make a fool out of her pompous Butler, Malvolio. There's drunkenness, frivolity and cross-dressing a plenty! View full event.

Folksy Theatre returns to the gardens of Ordsall Hall to perform the children's favourite - The Princess and the Giant!

Princess Sophie is fed up. She's EXHAUSTED and it's all because the grumpy old giant can't sleep - his stomps and stamps keep everyone awake ALL night. But Princess Sophie is a resourceful sort of girl and, as she reads her favourite book of fairy tales, she wonders if she might just have the answer. Based on the loved children's book by Caryl Hart, illustrated by Sarah Warburton.

The family friendly performance will be filled with music, puppetry and wonderful characters and is one not to be missed!

Join us in the gardens of Ordsall Hall as Heartbreak Productions bring to life the classic family story; The Railway Children.

Attention passengers! We are sorry to announce that all services out of Giggleswick Station are delayed!

Gather around Bobbie, Peter and Phyllis on Platform One as they pass the time by sharing the classic tale of The Railway Children. Living by the railway line, the children spend quite a bit of time watching the trains and making some unexpected friendships. There is the old gentleman who regularly takes the 9.15 train and helps them solve the mystery of what happened to their father, and the Russian immigrant who teaches them that compassion and understanding cross all boundaries.

Pirate Pearl lives aboard the good ship Mirabel with her crusty old shipmate - Grandpa Bert! She's not a real pirate - but Pearl loves to imagine she's sailing the seven seas on a swashbuckling pirate adventure!

This wonderful Shakespeare comedy is filled with Folksy Theatre's touch of live music, audience interaction and downright silliness. Join us for an evening of entertainment and delight in the gardens at Ordsall Hall.
