Telling the fascinating story of Salford over the last 200 years and focusing on real people and real events, LifeTimes offers an opportunity to celebrate the city's past and predict the future.
LifeTimes brings the history of Salford to life and charts the history of the whole of the city - from Cadishead to Charlestown, from Walkden to Winton and from Pendlebury to Pendleton - as seen through the eyes of Salford's people, old and young.
Through LifeTimes we aim to:
- Involve as many people as possible in collecting and enjoying the city's heritage
- Help document the life of the city today and in the future
- Develop centres of excellence at Salford Museum and Art Gallery, Salford Local History Library and Ordsall Hall
- Help develop and support groups around the city to celebrate the city's heritage
