Calling all Landlubbers: Watersports Open Day event - 16th April at Salford Quays

If you are interested in watersports but don't know your tricky-woods from tracking, this Easter, we're hosting an Open Day at the Helly Hansen Watersports Centre at Salford Quays for all the family.

The event is FREE and includes face painting, arts and crafts, a climbing wall, a bouncy castle and various stalls.

For a small fee of £4, adults and children aged 8+ can book hour-long taster sessions in sailing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding.

There will a head-to-head wakeboarding taking place at the event too, which amateurs and professionals can compete on the same teams as one another providing an exciting experience for those just starting out in the sport. Spectators will be able to watch some 'big air' and witness exciting inverts.

There will be a scheduled open water swimming session taking place in the morning and the centre's open water swimming mentor will be running two seminars during the event for those interested to learn more.

The event opens at 11am until 5pm at the Helly Hansen Watersports Centre.
