Badminton

Badminton is the most popular indoor sport in Britain; it is an aerobic sport, which builds up stamina, agility, speed and precision. It is all about fun, friends and fitness!

Badminton - Smash Up!

Our badminton activators remove the traditional barriers that typically come with inspiring non sporty and semi-sporty children and young people to get more active.  With a modern "mashed up" mix of big hitting badminton challenges, mates, music playlists and bold court branding, no coaching, no dress code, no team selection to suite all abilities in a safe and secure environment.  Smash Up! Sessions empower 13 - 16 year olds to choose how, when and with whom they build their own badminton experience with.

Smash Up! Badminton helps:

  • Support the achievements of Ofsted
  • Brings more students, including more girls, into OSHL
  • Develops self confidence and sense of achievement
  • Provides an outlet for excess energy, improving behaviour and concentration
  • Improves social skills by mixing different year groups
  • Promotes all benefits of health, active lifestyles to branded session kit and equipment

Badminton - No Strings

This is a simple, easy and low cost way of playing badminton for relaxed, social game-play for young people (16+) and adult players of all abilities.  Grab the opportunity to enjoy weekly court time that gets you swinging a racket for fun and fitness with like minded people.

Simply come along to the session and kick-start an active, healthy lifestyle, whatever your motivation and goals.  Sessions a lead by a friendly Salford Community Leisure Co-ordinator ready to welcome you onto the court.
