Swimming is one of those unique forms of exercise that can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of age or ability.
Whether you simply want to swim or get fit and have fun in the pool in our aquatic classes, we have six, 25 metre pools across the city each offering you a varied and diverse programme of activities that are open to everyone.
We also have five teaching pools with warmer water for little ones who may just want to dip their toe in the water. Family friendly and accessible changing facilities are available at all sites with secure lockers.
And don’t forget you can learn to swim with us. We offer a structured development programme commencing from the complete beginner through to our Competitive Training Scheme for those that want to take their swimming or synchronised swimming to the highest level.
Luke Wood, budding Olympian from Salford Swim Squad trains in Salford’s pools. He said, “I started my swimming career with swimming lessons at a Fit City pool and am now a national champion. It will be great to look back in a few years when someone that first dipped a toe in the water at a free swimming session is representing Salford on the international swimming stage."
