Watersports and adventurous activities
At the Helly Hansen Watersports Centre you can try your hand at a fantastic range of activities. Our stores are packed full with modern up to date equipment ready for you to have fun with.
01/10/14 - Unfortunately we still have high levels of blue-green algae in our dock, & we are currently closed for Wakeboarding and Watersports Hire sessions. Our Open Water Swim season has now come to an end due to the algae and also the evenings getting darker. If you bought a block pass and have any credits remaining, they will be valid until 31st July 2015. If you bought a season pass, you may be entitled to a part refund depending on how many times you have visited.
From dinghy sailing and windsurfing to power boating and climbing for the adrenalin junkies, we offer a wide range of exciting activities. Visit their individual web pages to find out more about each activity and how you can get involved!
You can take part in activities in the following ways:
- Adult Courses - visit each individual activity page for 2014 course dates
- Junior Courses
- Watersports hire sessions
- Private group sessions
- One to one tuition
- Educational visits
The Centre is inspected annually by the RYA (Royal Yachting Association), BCU (British Canoe Union) and AALS (Adventurous Activities Licensing Service) to make sure we meet their rigorous safety standards. We provide all the specialist equipment you need and we check and maintain it all before you arrive to ensure you have a quality experience. - all you need to bring along are old trainers, your swimwear and plenty of enthusiasm.
