Summer Holiday Watersports Courses

All courses run at the Helly Hansen Watersports Centre and run each week for 5 weeks throughout the summer holidays unless otherwise stated.

Aqua Activities

Taster course with a chance to try kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, canoeing or raft building. Suitable for children aged 8-12 years.

Adventure Week

Adventurers can enjoy an action packed week of full day activities including 2 offsite trips. Participants will focus on learning new skills in a more challenging environment. Suitable for children aged 12-16 years.

Sailing Stage 1

The complete introduction to dinghy sailing, giving children a basic understanding of how a boat sails and some experience of steering. Suitable for children aged 8-16 years.

Sailing Stage 2

This course focuses on how to deal with a challenging variety of sailing conditions, plus experience of capsizing and a range of gaes. Must of completed Stage 1. Suitable for children aged 8-16 years.

Paddle Power Passport

Swim Safe

Rookie Lifeguard

An exciting course to give children the skills they need to be confident in the pool or sea. The programme teaches children how to swim and enjoy water safely, whether in shallow or deeper water. Children need to be on at least Stage 5.
