The Big Digital Project

Image projected on the side of Ordsall Hall as part of the Big Digital Project

The Arts Development Team, Salford Community Leisure Ltd recently took part in the Big Digital Project.  Working with Lets go Global and External Galleries, local people from all over Salford were given the opportunity to take part in a digital light show at Ordsall Hall.
With a theme of Journey, we collected short video clips of participants’ journeys in a typical day around Salford.  Our journeys took us to schools, shops and parks as well as other places unique to us.

Our adult group gathered images from past and present of their own journey from children to the present day in Salford (or from when they first came to Salford).  Music from local musicians was also sent in which made up the back drop for the final evening performance.

Image created as part of the Big Digtial ProjectThe Worsley and Boothstown Youth Forum, with support from the Salford Integrated Youth Support Team (Worsley & Boothstown area) took many images and videos from around areas local to them which were also displayed after the event at the local Worsley library and at The Spirit of Salford event in May 2014.
