"We are writing to say thank you for a wonderful day at Salford Museum. We loved visiting the Victorian street and seeing inside the windows of all the old shops."
Sandford Award winner for heritage education
In 2013 Salford Museum and Art Gallery won a Sandford Award for heritage education! Here's what the judges who visited our site had to say:
"Salford Museum and Art Gallery offers pupils a chance to really travel back in time when they visit Lark Hill Place, our re-created Victorian street which is incredibly atmospheric and a wonderful, and unusual learning resource within a traditional style museum and art gallery.
Add to this facilitators who deliver in an engaging and approachable manner whilst imparting large amounts of information in an accessible form and you have a high quality learning service."
