|MAPAS Maestros||This is a fun orchestra introducing young musicians to the joys of ensemble playing. Open to all beginner string, brass and woodwind players who are having lessons or learning at school.||Beginner level||5.00pm to 6.00pm|
|Salford Singing Squad||For young people who enjoy singing and just want to meet some new friends, come along, join in the fun and have a sing-a-long at the MAPAS Singing Squad.||Age 7-11||6.00pm to 7.00pm|
|Jazz Collective||This ensemble is for any woodwind, brass and rhythm (drum, bass guitar, keyboard) players interested in jazz music. They work on jazz repertoire and improvisation skills.||Grade 2+||6.00pm to 7.00pm|
|Saxophone Quartet||The Sax Quartet provides an opportunity for more senior musicians to perform as a real quartet comprising of soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones. Membership is by invitation only and the quartet perform regularly in MAPAS concerts as well as being hired for private engagements. The Quartet plays a selection of music, ranging from popular arrangements to music composed originally for saxophone quartet by some of the current leading composers of saxophone repertoire.||Grade 5+||6:00pm to 7:00pm|
|Salford Youth Big Band||The Big Band uses the traditional big band line up of saxes, trumpets and trombones with a rhythm section (piano, bass, guitar and drums). Performing music from the heyday of the big band era (Ellington, Basie, Miller etc) through to modern arrangements of popular tunes. Membership is by invitation and audition but new members are always welcome to try out for the band.||Grade 4+||7.00pm to 8.15pm|
|Salford Youth Choir||This group is open to all pupils age 11 and above that are enthusiastic about singing. There is no audition process for this group but we do ask that all members are committed.||Age 11-18||7.00pm to 8.15pm|
