MAPAS presents: Crash Bang Wallop!
A day for young percussionists.
As you will be aware, since September Music and Performing Arts Salford (MAPAS) has been teaching your child as part of a Whole Class Instrumental Teaching (WCIT) percussion project in school. The MAPAS WCIT project, nationally known as ‘First Access’, is designed to teach your child the music curriculum and encourage them to start learning to play an instrument.
As part of this project we would like to invite your child to attend the ‘Crash Bang Wallop’ Play Day which is being funded and coordinated by the world renowned Chetham’s school of Music in Manchester and hosted by MAPAS. The play day will give your child the opportunity to meet other WCIT percussionists from across Salford, learn from some of the best percussionists and performers in the country as well as performing music on an array of different percussion instruments.
The play day will take place at Moorside High School and is FREE of charge to attend. All children will need to bring a packed lunch.
The play day will conclude with a concert for family and friends at 2:00pm.
We look forward to welcoming your child for an exciting day of music making!
In collaboration with Chetham’s School Of Music.
