We're getting in the mood with a fantastic range of scary family events taking place across our venues this Halloween and during the school holidays.

Halloween Spooktacular and Witches Walk

Halloween Spooktacular

Friday 26 October, from 2pm, Buile Hill Park
Charges apply for some activities, no booking required

Our popular Halloween Spooktacular is back! Come along to Buile Hill Park from 2pm onwards and enjoy some spooky family fun.

Activities will include:

  • Frightful face painting
  • Gruesome glitter tattoos
  • Fairground rides
  • Performances from local bands
  • Creepy craft workshop
  • Pedal powered cinema showing Halloween family films
  • Curious critters - meet bugs, reptiles and exotic animals
  • Spooky storytelling

Funfair Wristbands

North West Funfairs are offering an all-inclusive 2 hour wrist band for the funfair which will be in operation during Salford Community Leisure’s Halloween Spooktacular and Witches Walk. 

Tickets are limited, so buy them now before they sell out! Failure to purchase a wristband before 26 October will result in paying standard ride prices, all rides will be priced at £2 per person per ride.

Witches Walk

Friday 26 October, from 4pm, Buile Hill Park
£2.50 per person (under 2's free), booking required

Prepare to be scared! 

Last year our Witches walk was a sell out! It's back and BIGGER and BETTER than ever, with even more spooky zones, scary characters, amazing special effects, stilt walkers and live dance performances. It's frightfully good fun for the whole family, just as long as you're brave enough...

Walks are being held at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm and 7pm, and last for approximately an hour. View full event.

Tickets can be purchased up to 12pm on the day of the walk.

Sport Activities

Sport and Performing Arts Camp (Ambrose Barlow)

Monday 22 to Thursday 25 October, 8am-6pm, St Ambrose Barlow RC High School
Various prices (see below), booking required

The BEST Holiday Camp in the city is back!

Come and join our team of experienced tutors and specialist coaches in a variety of workshops and coaching sessions including dance, drama, music and sport. Children can learn new skills, be creative and most of all have fun! View full event.

Certificate of achievement and medal will be awarded to every child. Suitable for children aged 5-11 years.

Offsite activities will also be available to swimming for children 8 years and over. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

PLEASE NOTE: This Camp is the popular Ambrose Barlow Holiday Camp we run during the summer holidays.

There are two start/finish time options for this camp:

  • 8.00am - 6.00pm - £68 per week / £20 per day
  • 9.00am - 3.30pm - £44 per week / £15 per day

 

 


Spooky Gym Tumble

Halloween Ghost and History Tour

Haunted Heritage and Literature

Paranormal Study: In Search of the Anomalous

The public are invited to take part in a scientific study alongside students and researchers from Manchester Metropolitan University to investigate several reported paranormal sightings at Ordsall Hall.

Halloween Night Swim

£20 if booked before 12pm on 25 October / £25 on the night, booking required

Join us for a 300m or 500m swimloop of Salford Quays on this spooky night swim at the Helly Hansen Watersports Centre.

Limited to 50 brave swimmers!

Free Halloween swim cap, glow stick and a delicious hot soup/roll included in price.

Suitable for ages 14 +. Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Wetsuit compulsory and can be hired from the centre for £9 (limited supply available).
