Coronavirus: Venue Closure

20th March 2020

As the situation surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak continues to worsen and following recent government regulations, all Salford Community Leisure managed venues will now close from 10pm on Friday 20 March (libraries to close from 7pm).

This includes closure of:

  • All Leisure Centres
  • All Salford Libraries
  • Community Centres
  • Salford Museum & Art Gallery
  • Ordsall Hall
  • Helly Hansen Watersports Centre
  • All MAPAS Arts Centre services

What this means:

  • You will not be able to access any of these venues during this time.
  • We will be contacting all our customers individually regarding gym memberships, swimming lessons, coached sessions, event tickets and all other bookings they have with us.

In the light of these closures, Salford Community Leisure Staff will be supporting Salford City Council to help staff frontline services to support the most vulnerable people in the city.

During this closure, please make sure you follow Salford Community Leisure across all our social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep up to date with all developments.

During the closure, please do all you can to look after yourself and your family and follow the NHS guidelines to reduce the risk of you becoming ill.

If you have any queries, please email us at

We look forward to welcoming you back to our centres as soon as possible.
