Swimming Pool Closure at Irlam & Cadishead Leisure Centre
Salford Community Leisure is committed to a continually rolling programme of investment across all our facilities. In order to improve the swimming experience for our customers, we’ll be installing new boilers at Irlam & Cadishead Leisure Centre. These will help us improve efficiencies and better regulate the water temperature throughout the year.
This will mean that both pools will be closed whilst we carry out this essential work. The gym, squash court and sports hall will all remain open and our fitness classes will continue as normal.
The pools will be closed from Monday 12 November until Friday 14 December and re-open on Saturday 15 December.
We understand this will cause inconvenience to our customers but we have a number of options in place to reduce this during the closure.
Our Aspire members will be able to continue as normal during the closure and use any of our other leisure centres.
However any members wanting to freeze their membership can do so free of charge during the closure period. This needs to be done by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org before 21 October.
Members who freeze and pay via Direct Debit won’t make a payment on either 15 November or 1 December, depending on their collection date. For those with an annual membership, the freeze period will be added on to the end of their membership.
If members don’t get in touch with us then their membership will continue as normal.
Over 60s Swim Pass Members
Any members with an Over 60s Swim Pass will have their passes automatically frozen, unless they inform us that they would like to continue using our other centres during the closure.
All adult and children swimming lessons will be relocated during the closure.
- Lessons currently on a Monday through to Friday will be delivered at Eccles Leisure Centre at the same times.
- Lessons currently on a Saturday or Sunday will be delivered at Clarendon Leisure Centre at the same times.
Customers who are unable to attend these different centres have the option to freeze swimming lessons for this period.
Those who pay by direct debit will not make a payment on either 15 November or 1 December, depending on the collection date. Those who pay by a block of 10 lessons, will have these missed lessons rolled over to their next block.
We apologise for the inconvenience and hope these options will cause the least possible disruption for our customers during this essential maintenance.
