Salford Children's Book Awards 2015

The winner of the 2015 Salford Children's Book Award is: After Tomorrow by Gillian Cross.....

The award ceremony was held on Friday, 6th March at The Lowry, Salford Quays and hosted by children's author and library campaigner Alan Gibbons. Shortlisted authors Catherine Johnson and Janis Mackay also took part in the ceremony and were on hand to meet the audience and sign copies of their books. The winning book was voted for by pupils from twelve Salford High Schools.

The award ceremony was fabulous and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended.  Pupils said that they particularly enjoyed the authors' question and answer session and found reading the books and taking part really inspiring.

"It was amazing, I loved listening to Alan Gibbons, and he's so funny!"
