Short story reading groups
Are you short on time, but love reading and sharing your reactions to fiction with others? You are in for a surprise if you haven’t already discovered what makes short stories tick.
Give it a try and you may soon get hooked on a form of writing which is often overlooked and underrated. And our short story groups offer a great way to discover literature in an enjoyable and rewarding way.
Two stories will be discussed at each meeting, which are usually held fortnightly. Meetings are organised and led by Dr Mariana Casale O’Ryan, an experienced reading group leader. Mariana is the founder of reader-centred discussion groups, The Reading Rooms, and she is passionate about the reading experience and how it can enrich our lives.
Books, handouts and refreshments are provided. The fee for three sessions is £20 Please contact Chris Farey on 0161 778 0839 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to book, try out a free taster session or would like more information.
