Salford Schools' Library Service

Children enjoying resources from Salford Schools' Library Service

Coronavirus update

Following the latest government announcement, we have no choice but to suspend the service until further notice.  We will be working with Public Health to explore all options for offering a service to schools as soon as we are able.

During our closure, Schools' Library Service staff will still be working remotely, and we welcome communication with teachers, and ideas of how we can support you during this unprecedented time.

You can contact us at

Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.

Salford Schools’ Library Service lends project loans and many other children's book resources to teachers.  Most schools in Salford subscribe to our service – contact us to find out what you can borrow.

We can also arrange to lend books to schools outside Salford.  Contact us for further details.

“Excellent selection of books, an extremely useful resource– all well used for sharing, as resources and by individual children.  Thank you.”
