Music during Covid-19
During these turbulent and uncertain times, MAPAS are still well placed to advise you on music education for you and your child.
Whilst the doors to our Arts Centre remain closed and we are unable to send tutors into schools to deliver lessons, there are still a variety of ways that we can help. Check out the list of resources we have compiled, including our very own Music Activity Grid, which can be used both in schools or at home to keep your children entertained. There's something for everyone from the very young to the young at heart so do have a look.
If you're missing your weekly instrumental lesson, then MAPAS are still offering a range of instrumental lessons online through video link. All of our experienced tutors have DBS checks and are embracing technology to work in new ways and deliver lessons to add some variety into your day and ensure music is still alive in your home. Whether you or your child were already having lessons through MAPAS, or are looking to develop a new skill now you have some time on your hands, check out our online lessons page to see if there is something there for you!
As I'm sure you can imagine, the change in circumstances is having an effect on our business and whilst we are still offering some services, we are not in denial that we are still losing income. If you are able to spare a donation, big or small, to ensure we are able to continue offering resources and activities to the people of Salford, we have set up a Just Giving campaign which you can view here.
Also make sure you are following our social media channels for regular videos, links and pictures to make you smile and remind you that we will still be making music for years to come once this is all over!
