Salford Swim for Dementia Challenge 2016
During Dementia Awareness Week 2016, the people of Salford were challenged to swim a length for each of the 2,500 people living in the city with a diagnosis of dementia. Swimmers of all ages and abilities were invited to take part to raise awareness of dementia, pledge to become a Dementia Friend, and ask their sponsors to do the same.
The week culminated in a public event at Worsley Leisure Centre, where swimmers of all ages joined FB medalists Lewis Clough and Will Holland-Leavens in the water.
Thank you to everyone who participated in swimming an amazing 27,477 lengths for dementia!
