Salford’s Music and Performing Arts Service (MAPAS) are excited to announce that the Summer School is BACK!

With a variety of exciting workshops, fun-filled projects and a final performance for friends and family it is sure to be a week to remember. The Summer School is led by a team of experienced MAPAS tutors who will aim to make the experience creative, inspirational and most of all, fun!

Whether you already play an instrument or are interested in starting to learn, there is something to suit all abilities so don’t be afraid to come and give it a try. Our senior musicians will be performing lunchtime concerts to engage and inspire younger musicians so you’ll have the opportunity to listen to music as well as make it yourself!

The final performance will be held on Thursday 16 August at 3.00pm.

Rookie Lifeguard

An exciting course to give children the skills they need to be confident in the pool or sea. The programme teaches children how to swim and enjoy water safely, whether in shallow or deeper water. Children need to be on at least Stage 5.

Junior Wakeboarding

Suitable for children aged 10 years +

Try your hand at drypoint with etching tools, electric dremels and sandpaper. Work up an image on clear perspex. You will be shown how to ink and wipe your 'plate' and print on an etching press. View full event.
