This Girl Can Salford Ambassadors 2016-17

Christine Bradley

Age: 50

Activity: Open water swimming

Bio: Club member at Swinton Swimming Club until the age of 12 when she was involved in a RTA. This prevented her from taking part in the sport she loved. Became a Triathlon and Swim Coach and has since completed Ironman, channel relay swim, 2 Swim4Life and several other cycling events. Only last month Christine swam the channel!

Donna Phillips

Age: 37

Activity:  Group fitness classes

Bio: Told in 2013 that if she didn't change her lifestyle that it would lead to health complications. Joined Slimming World in August 2014 and lost 4 stone in 4 months! After losing 8 stone Donna signed up to an Aspire membership and regularly attends Aquafit, Zumba, Pilates and Clubbercise. To date Donna has lost 13 and a half stone!

Age: 33

Activity: Gym and group fitness classes

Bio: Recovered from an aggressive strain of breast cancer. Attended a 12 week Cancer Rehab programme and worked hard to complete two Race for Life, 5K Poppy Run, 1 Pretty Mudder and the Manchester 10K.

Age: 35

Activity: Running

Bio: Loves to keep fit and inspire people. Completed Ironman UK Triathlon. Success has encouraged friends and family to take part in triathlons. Regularly provides advice to others who take part in running events.

Age: 34

Activity: Running

Bio: Pregnant in 2013 and 2015 and in both pregnancies she was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. Transformed lifestyle drastically in January 2016 by joining Slimming World and losing 3 stone. Runs a few days a week with friends, motivating each other!

Age: 36

Activity: Group fitness classes

Bio: Joined Ordsall Leisure Centre in 2009, losing 3 stone in the process whilst meeting her partner and having a son together. Sadly he suddenly passed away and from this lost 5 stone. After this she put the weight back on and in 2015 started attending classes at Swinton & Pendlebury Leisure Centre. Now an instructor delivering classes across Salford.

Activity: Spinning

Bio: Loves to keep fit and as a teacher is passionate about putting the message across to teenage girls that they don't need to do fad diets. Keen to inspire other women.

Age: 19

Activity: Athletics

Bio: Athlete at Salford Harriers. Has been through a difficult time after becoming estranged from parents. Continued to commit to athletics and has a positive outlook on life.

Age: 38

Activity: Running

Bio: Wanted to change her life after giving birth to her third son. Started to run and ended up completing her third marathon this year. Stacey has gone from the girl who refused, to the girl who always tries!
